How and where to hang
Remember that the centre of a painting must hang at the same high of our eyes, at 1.70 meters high and it has its own aura that's why some free space must be let around it. If the painting is over furniture, this will work as a " Visual Suport" and it should not be larger as the furniture and it should also keep a distance of 20 to 30 cm from it.

Another important aspect is that in each room there must be a decoration that makes a good balance with the painting. For example not every paintings in one room must be costumbrist or abstract, perhaps both of them can be a good choice.

Many times when the hall and the dinnig room are together (a common wall), the paintings can work separating each area.

How to illuminate the paintings
The paintings must have a good ilumination in the morning ( natural light) and in the night ( artificial light). Here we can see some examples:

PICTURE 1:
Ascendant light, in order to illuminate from the bottom.
PICTURE 2:
Dicroics projectors, installated on a rail for each painting directly from the ceiling.
PICTURE 3:
Fluorescents, convenient to illuminate a group of paintings.
PICTURE 4:
Iindividual illumination, in differents styles and shapes are installed on the wall
above the painting.

________

How to group the paintings
The most important thing is that the composition must keep an order. A watcher that looks the group must be able to see the form of the composition. Others aspects can be the colour of the frame, the theme, size, colour of the painting, etc.
ADVICE: Before starting its better to make a plan with the size of the wall and the paintings. You should start with the big ones.

The line goes in this case acrooss the middle of the paintings

You can also line them with their base

The paintings are in a rectangle

Another solution is to hang the most important painting over the others

Another disposition emphasizing the relief painting

A painting in the centre and the others around it

Another rectangle group, with 2 main paintings

Solution for many paintings, the big one in the centre.

5 different horizontal paintings that keep the same distance to each other.

A new rectangle with many paintings

4 paintings grouped symmetrically to 2 transversal lines

When they are in a vertical position the line can go acrooss the centre or acroos each side
